Consumer Promotions

Objective:

  • UCL HeineActivate on Heineken’s UEFA Champions League sponsorship in the US.
  • Drive fans to bars during Champions League broadcasts.
  • Encourage on-premise interaction with Heineken at bars during broadcast match-days.

 

ACTION:

  • We created a social competition motivating consumers to purchase product in bars on UCL match-days.
  • Consumers were asked to send in a photo of themselves enjoying both Heineken and UCL at a bar on match-day.
  • Submitted photos were up for prizes which included branded Heineken merchandise or ICONS signed memorabilia from UCL stars.229704_10100152518937879_3504092_n

 

RESULT:

  • Over 30,000 visits to Heineken’s UCL landing page.
  • 4,000 entries into the competition.
  • More than 40 million impressions throughout the duration of the campaign.
