Product Sales & Distribution Channels
Objective:
- Establish viable sales of ICONS product in North America.
- Market ICONS to America. Despite massive success in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, ICONS had not caught on in the US.
- Diversify sales channels that previously existed in the Americas market.
- Focus on commercial, holiday, promotional and partnership sales opportunities.
ACTION:
- First, we identified where ICONS product were currently being sold in the states and pivoted to feature products in key channels:
- Verified Memorabilia Stores (Steiner Sports, SportsMemorabilia.com)
- Amazon US
- Soccer Speciality Stores (Soccer.com, World Soccer Shop)
- We created and launched a US specific sub-website of icons.com. A gate on the main page directed US customers to usa.icons.com – where sales were geared toward the Americas region.
- Once the blocking & tackling had been established, we looked to expand the ICONS brand by running promotions:
- Leveraged relationships with FOX Soccer to have product showcased during broadcast and ran giveaways.
- Installed product in heavy traffic soccer bars nationwide.
- Ran promotions with retail partners in which the winner received personalized memorabilia for the world’s biggest stars
RESULT:
- In 2012, ICONS had seen growth of over 150% in the North American market.
